Accounting Manager

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Job Description and Duties:

Client Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure quality of work for a portfolio of international clients.
  • Supervise and support junior staff assigned to the client portfolio.
  • Communicate with clients via telephone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Manage client invoice processing and ensure timely issuance and follow-up.

Accounting Operations:

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports and statements.
  • Review and verify Trial Balances for audit purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with auditors, government authorities, and company directors.

Tax, VAT & SI Compliance

  • Manage and review Cyprus Tax, VAT, and Social Insurance compliance for client companies.
  • Participate in management discussions on tax and VAT queries, collaborating with external advisors as needed.
  • Develop and update procedures, processes, and policies to ensure

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and coordinate the accounting team under your supervision.
  • Monitor departmental efficiency and recommend improvements.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Lead ad hoc projects, ensuring proper resource allocation and compliance.
  • Support staff development through mentoring and training.

Other Duties

  • Perform other duties as required by the Management
  • Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Academic Criteria:

  • Accounting/Economics/Finance related degree.
  • ACA/ACCA qualifications will be considered as an advantage.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the accounting of international clients.
  • Very good knowledge of Cyprus tax, VAT and Social Insurance Law and principles for international clients
  • Experience with handling CaseWare, will be considered as an advantage

Special Requirements:

  • Computer Literate
  • Fluent speaking and writing in Greek and English is a pre-requisite.

Job Description and Duties:

  • Assisting the company with compliance and AML administration tasks
  • Undertaking file reviews as  required; Upkeeping client files;
  • Take-on and on-going client reviews based on the Company's procedures
  • KYC and AML monitoring and administration procedures
  • Monitoring of client transactions according to their business activities
  • Reviewing and categorize clients according to their risk
  • Liaising with the Compliance Officer and Administration Dept. to ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards

Academic Criteria:

University degree preferably in Law/Business or related field or relevant experience in the Compliance Department of a Cyprus-based regulated company (preferably ASP)  

Work Experience:

Experience in a similar role within a regulated environment in the fiduciary industry is required

Special Requirements:

·        Fluent in professional English and Greek language is a must

·        Good organisational skills

·        Accurate with good attention to detail

·        Abilityto multi-task and work under pressure

·        Good time management skills
